Journeying back to the early days of 2020, many of us were required to stay at home. A term started being thrown around. It wasn’t a new word or term but was one that wasn’t used as much in modern households.

That term is homemaker.

It is so easy to get into the habit of working all of the time and never taking time out to slow down and enjoy the moments throughout your day. At the time of my writing this, I just said to my husband, I cannot believe that it is already June. Because truly, I feel like mentally I am still back in January.

Dining etiquette and manners are simple rules for how to act around the table. All of these things are called table etiquette and manners. They include how we eat, how we sit, how we treat other people, and even what kind of conversations we have with each other.

It's important for us to have good table manners because we eat at a table together.

Whether you work for yourself, are a homemaker, or if you are out at your 9-5… Searching out and finding the pleasures of the afternoon is an absolute must if you are looking to live a chic and poised-filled life.

… At least for me, it is a must.

Often when we are growing up, we are invited to sleepovers. Or perhaps, when we get into a new relationship, and we meet their parents for the first time. We want to show that we have proper manners.

Regardless of the scenario, in this post we will be going over 6 quick ways that you can be a poised house guest.

It is so easy to get flustered when having people over. You can think about all the other places you should have cleaned. Or whether your guests will like your food.

These things are rarely thought about by your guests. Of course, it goes without saying, you wouldn't want to open your door looking like you've just rolled out of bed.

We have just begun the new year, and things are already looking up. I was recently invited in to visit The Somerset Toiletry Company, and it was so funny because when I received the invite, I was literally driving by at that exact moment.

If you find yourself on an extended trying to conceive journey, you will often get to a point where you will be willing to ‘ try anything ‘… Especially if it is natural.

With saying that, as our journey is looking like it is going to be a little longer than most, we have been trying to implement any holistic routes possible.

It’s been a few years since we have been able to do any entertaining over the holiday period. So this year, we were really trying to make the most of that.

Sometimes, we can get so caught up in waiting for the perfect moment, the perfect opportunity, and the perfect setting to put our money where our mouths are and do that thing that we have been saying that we will do for ages.

After the last two years of being cooped up at home, one of the things that I want to be more intentional with is… doing workshops.

There are so many things that I have as interests, and it is so easy to sit back and say “ I want to do that one day “ but… if there is anything that I have learned in the last two years, it is that we should take advantage of the opportunity, the time, and the resources that we have … and actually do the things that we say that we want to do.

Are you team real Christmas tree? Or are you team faux Christmas Tree?

Our household is divided, and therefore I as someone who is PRO real Christmas tree… I am always on the lookout for a way that I can bring the fresh scent of Christmas into our home… but scaled down.

I typically get my flowers from flower shops around Bristol, or from Bloom & Wild… However, there are days when you pop into the grocery store, and just want something quick and easy for the home.

In 1893, Monet, a passionate horticulturist, purchased land with a pond near his property in Giverny, intending to build something "for the pleasure of the eye and also for motifs to paint." The result was his water-lily garden. In 1899, he began a series of eighteen views of the wooden footbridge over the pond, completing twelve paintings, including the present one, that summer. The vertical format of the picture, unusual in this series, gives prominence to the water lilies and their reflections on the pond.

I have a confession to make — sometimes, I feel like I don’t fully understand my personal style. And it’s only through the DISLIKE of something that I have chosen… that I realize my LIKE for something else.
